Thinking about the latest developments within U!REKA Alliance, we invite proposals exploring the following themes:

1. Collaborative and challenge-based methodologies for a sustainable and digital future

The U!REKA Alliance champions innovative pedagogies that bridge universities, cities, and communities in co-creating solutions for real-world urban challenges. We seek proposals that:

  • Develop Innovative teaching and learning methods that foster green and digital transitions
  • Implement Interdisciplinary and challenge-based education models
  • Foster transversal skills such as creativity, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and critical thinking
  • Enhance student engagement through participatory pedagogies and co-creation of learning experiences
  • Develop mentorship programs and peer-learning networks that strengthen student voice and leadership

2. Co-creating climate-neutral and smart cities

Aligned with the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, we seek proposals that reimagine urban spaces as sustainable, inclusive, and resilient environments:

  • Implement Collaborative projects that promote climate-neutral urban environments
  • Launch Student- or staff-led initiatives addressing mobility, energy, housing, or circular economy solutions
  • Integrate New European Bauhaus principles—beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive design—in urban transformation projects
  • Promote the role of arts and cultural practices in fostering community engagement and quality of life in urban environments
  • Develop policy frameworks and governance models that support sustainable urban transformation and enable collaboration between universities, municipalities, and communities

3. Inclusive universities

Recognizing that transformation requires institutional change, we welcome proposals that reimagine universities as inclusive, accessible, and interconnected learning environments:

  • Reimagine university services to be more inclusive, accessible, and equitable for all members of the academic community
  • Strengthen well-being support systems and mental health resources for all university community members—students, faculty, and staff
  • Create institutional policies that promote work-life balanceand foster healthy, supportive academic environments
  • Create Policies and practices that support internationalisation and social inclusion
  • Promote Linguistic and cultural inclusion at universities

4. U!REKA community voices: experiences, projects and new ideas

We invite reflections, case studies, and forward-looking proposals that strengthen our community and inspire collective action:

  • Share Inspiring stories of collaboration within the U!REKA community or beyond
  • Present New development ideas for education, research, entrepreneurship, or community engagement
  • Amplify Student voices, staff reflections, or cross-institutional partnerships
  • Propose new models of collaboration that can strengthen the U!REKA European University Alliance
  • Contribute to building a shared identity and vision for the U!REKA community across all partner institutions
