Transports

From the airport

When you arrive in Lisbon, you’ll need transport to get from the airport and then for your journeys between the hotel and the campus.

To get from the airport, you can choose the subway or use TVDE apps (e.g., UBER, BOLT). It’s common to find trips for under €5.

In Lisbon

We suggest buying a ticket called “NAVEGANTE OCASIONAL” (€0.50), which can be purchased at subway and train stations. You can choose to top up the card at these same machines (ZAPPING option) and use the credit on various forms of public transport (1,72€ for 1h bus, 2,05€ for 2h CP train, 1,72€ for subway, 2-3€ for boat) throughout the Greater Lisbon area (from Setúbal to Sintra/Cascais).

To find out which transport to take, Google Maps will be your best friend, but I should point out that the most reliable stations near Benfica Campus of IPL are:

– TRAIN: BENFICA (3 minutes’ walk from the school)

– SUBWAY: COLÉGIO MILITAR (you’ll come out in one of Lisbon’s largest shopping centres – Colombo-, next to Benfica’s stadium, and it’s a 10-minute walk from the school)
